Lone Star e-Club Treasurer, Bobby Chapman, proudly displays his status as a VIP in Rotary. E-Club members continue to look for innovative ways to make Rotary more accessible to greater numbers of people. Because it meets exclusively online, the Lone Star Club has distinct advantages over "in-person" clubs because it can host interesting speakers from around the world.
The Lone Star Rotary e-Club has recently "adopted" a new club member status. VIP, which usually stands for "Very Important Person", has now become ROTARY VIP, or ROTARY VIRTUAL IN PERSON. The Lone Star Club quickly latched onto the moniker at a recent Rotary training seminar where presidents elect rub elbows and exchange ideas. E-Clubs in Rotary are still somewhat new and always looking for ways to be successful. When one club has a great idea, other e-Clubs follow. In this case, the Rotary e-Club of Houston was the originator of the clever name. Thank you, Houston e-Clubbers, for the wonderful suggestion. Lone Star e-Club members are proud to be VIPs in Rotary!
