Dr. Randall Parr
Early Act / First Knight
Please join us Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 6 p.m. Central Time for the regular online meeting of the Lone Star Rotary e-Club.
Our program speaker will be Randall Parr, a Rotarian from District 5840 in the San Antonio area and an experienced representative of EarlyAct FirstKnight, a character-building program formed in District 5840 in 2005. The program first launched successfully with sponsorship from the Rotary Club of Boerne and has since continued expanding across District 5840, Texas, and the United States.
EarlyAct FirstKnight is unique in the field of character education. The program teaches high ethical standards, service, and Rotary International lessons to the entire student body every day, alongside core academic subjects such as math, science, and social studies.
Unlike a traditional Interact or EarlyAct Club, EarlyAct FirstKnight is a required course of study for every child. Its integrated components include classroom curriculum, Rotarian-led service opportunities, award assemblies, live-action program options, and parent education.
In EarlyAct FirstKnight schools, students recite the Four-Way Test from memory each day, begin learning about Paul Harris in third grade, and by fifth grade are introduced to the latest news about PolioPlus and Rotary’s global impact.
Rotarian Parr will share his knowledge and personal experiences with this dynamic educational and character-building program.
Our online meeting is open to all Rotarians and guests. We would love to have you join us.
