CLUB OFFICER INSTALLATION

Jul 03, 2025 6:00 PM

A new Rotary year is upon us—and we’re kicking it off in style!

You are warmly invited to join us on Thursday, July 3 at 6:00 PM (Central) for a very special Lone Star Rotary e-Club event:
🌟 Our Annual Club Officer Installation Banquet

Featuring Past District Governor Amy Kilgore as our Installation Official

This is more than just a ceremony—it’s a celebration of service, leadership, and the bright future ahead. We’ll formally welcome our incoming club officers and board members, including our new Club President, Jason Kutinac.

About Amy:
PDG Amy Kilgore is a passionate Rotarian who first encountered Rotary not through a speech or a project, but as a young waitress serving “a bunch of old singing people.” That encounter sparked a lifelong journey of service, leadership, and impact. A member of the Rotary Club of League City since 2009, Amy has served in nearly every role imaginable—Club President, Foundation Chair, Public Image Chair, District Trainer, Assistant Governor, and Rotary Leadership Institute Instructor.

She’s a Paul Harris Society Member, Paul Harris Fellow +8, and a proud advocate of The Rotary Foundation. Amy currently works as a Prevention Specialist in public education and is joined in service by her husband and two daughters—frequent volunteers at Rotary service projects.

Amy’s energy, warmth, and message of commitment will leave you inspired as we chart the course for the new Rotary year.

DG Charley Gilliland

Annual District Governor Virtual Visit - UNITE FOR GOOD

Jul 17, 2025 6:00 PM

Dr. Charles (Charley) Gilliland brings a wealth of experience to his Rotary leadership. A native of Colorado, Charley grew up on a cattle ranch before earning his M.S. and Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. He currently serves as a Research Economist and Adjunct Professor of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M, with previous roles as Clinical Professor of Finance in the Mays School of Business.

Charley is a decorated thought leader—recipient of the Golden Quill Award and inductee into the Farm Credit Bank of Texas Academy of Honor. His Rotary résumé includes past service as Club President of the Bryan Rotary Club, Assistant Governor, Youth Exchange Committee member, and Paul Harris Society member.

But beyond the accolades, Charley is a storyteller, a servant leader, and someone who believes Rotary is at its best when we lead with both head and heart.
