The Lone Star Rotary e-Club is doing its part to save a heart. We are puchasing Automated External Defibrillators, or AEDs, to be placed at kids' camps and senior centers. Join our meeting to learn the facts. Did you know... 1. Sudden cardiac arrest is happening more to young people. It is rare, but according to the Center for Disease Contraol and Prevention, about 2,000 young, seemingly healthy people under age 25 in the United States die each year of sudden cardiac arrest. 2. According to the same report, more than 356,000 cardiac arrests will happen out-of-hospital annually in the U.S., and nearly 90% of them fatal.
