Do Your Part and Save a Heart!
Nov 21, 2024 6:00 PM
The Lone Star Rotary e-Club is doing its part to save a heart. We are puchasing Automated External Defibrillators, or AEDs, to be placed at kids' camps and senior centers. Join our meeting to learn the facts. Did you know... 1. Sudden cardiac arrest is happening more to young people. It is rare, but according to the Center for Disease Contraol and Prevention, about 2,000 young, seemingly healthy people under age 25 in the United States die each year of sudden cardiac arrest. 2. According to the same report, more than 356,000 cardiac arrests will happen out-of-hospital annually in the U.S., and nearly 90% of them fatal.

Building Goodwill and Better Friendships with Rick Steves
Jan 16, 2025 6:00 AM
You've seen him on television. You've heard him on radio. You've read his books. Rick Steves is America's leading authority on European travel. Rick Steves also builds goodwill and better friendships around the globe. He is a philanthropist who supports and works closely with many advocacy groups and organizations whose missions fit his own. Because Rick Steves' Europe is privately held, the company uses profits to empower organizations that work for the common good instead of funding shareholders.
